Tips from the Pro's
Don't be afraid to change your tires and foams.
Tires can be the most important tuning point of any vehicle and rock crawlers especially. They are the part that puts your power to the ground and keeps you on your line. I know everyone is out there looking for THE hot setup but it all depends on the type of rock you are crawling on. Some tires run very well on slick sandstone, others run very well on angular jagged granite and these same tires can perform better or worse on the same surface with different foams. Don't be afraid to try different setups at each location where you crawl or compete. Keep a little notepad in your toolbox with the date, location, rock type, foam setup, temperature/weather and the results so you can have it for later and have an advantage over the competition!
